imagine james holding harrys tiny body in his arms and seeing his wife’s eyes and his hair and realizing for the first time that harry is both of them. harry could be the star of his Quidditch team he could be the next most brilliant potions student but most importantly he is then he is everything amazing about james and lily potter all put into this tiny boy who james loves more than he ever imagined he could love anything and he promises in that moment to himself and to his perfect son that as long as harry needs him, he will be there. in one way or another.
